Lanor School Council

The Lanor School (Advisory) Council (SAC, SC, "school council", or “parent council”) includes an elected committee of parents, any guardian of children attending the school, school staff, and our principal. We are a volunteer council governed by a set of by-laws.

SAC connects parents, teachers, administration, and the community at large. We are tasked with the overall improvement of our children’s school experience, fundraising initiatives, and community-building events. The school council advises the principal and the board on a variety of issues and activities relating to student achievement, curriculum goals, budget priorities, and school safety.

A big part of the Lanor SAC role is facilitating communication between parents and the school. Follow us on social media (links below) or the school calendar to stay up to date with all events and activities happening around Lanor JMS.

SAC holds regular school council meetings for an update from the principal and to ask questions, review upcoming events, and allocate fundraising for school & council proposals. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to join.
